Wiring Harness Design Specialist (Siemens NX)

About the role

We are looking for a Wiring Harness Design Specialist to create and develop 3‑D routing of wiring harnesses using Siemens NX Electrical Routing module for our projects in Bangalore. The role involves translating packaging and design requirements into detailed harness documentation and supporting manufacturing validation.

Key responsibilities

• Create 3‑D wiring harness routes in Siemens NX, perform bend radius and clearance checks, and ensure compliance with design standards.
• Prepare 2‑D flattening drawings, BOMs, wiring tables and documentation for production.
• Define and manage connectors, clips, clamps, protective coverings in the NX library.
• Assess electrical characteristics and EMC impact of harness designs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, communicate progress, and solve engineering challenges.

Required profile

• BE in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in wiring harness design and electrical routing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as a team player.

Required skills

• Proficient with Siemens NX Electrical Routing, UG‑NX, Teamcenter and AutoCAD.
• Good knowledge of electrical components, datasheets and GD&T.
• Experience coordinating with tooling suppliers and using config files/templates.
• Understanding of mechanical standards and EMC considerations.
