Senior Auditor - Business Audit

About the role

The Senior Auditor will lead and deliver audit engagements for the Business Audit team, focusing on investment banking and core finance functions. This role requires strong stakeholder management, communication skills, and deep knowledge of banking regulations and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to standalone and joint audits with global audit teams.
• Plan, execute, direct, and report on audit engagements across back‑office, middle‑office, front‑office, and corporate functions such as HR, compliance, and sourcing.
• Assess operational processes, identify risks, and recommend business and process improvements.
• Review audit evidence to ensure conclusions are well‑documented and supported.
• Communicate tasks clearly to the engagement team and ensure high‑quality deliverables.
• Monitor audit recommendations, follow‑up on findings, and escalate when necessary.
• Stay updated on new regulations, participate in professional development, and contribute to quality initiatives within the audit function.

Required profile

• CA or MBA with 11‑15 years of audit experience, preferably in investment banking or finance audits.
• Strong exposure to accounting, fraud, credit, liquidity, market, operational, and compliance risks.
• Understanding of global banking regulations and risk‑management principles.
• Experience with internal control evaluation, including IT controls.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• CIA, CFE, or FRM certification is an advantage.
