Senior Associate – Java Backend Developer

About the role

PwC’s Advisory practice is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Java Backend Development team in Bengaluru. You will work on cutting‑edge software solutions that drive digital transformation for clients across industries.

Key responsibilities

• Review and improve Java service‑layer code, ensuring adherence to coding standards and SOLID principles.
• Identify and resolve design flaws, concurrency issues, exception handling, and resource‑management problems.
• Analyze order‑processing services to detect vulnerabilities, memory leaks and performance bottlenecks.
• Refactor code for readability, maintainability and proper separation of concerns following OOP best practices.
• Implement thread‑safety improvements, including synchronization and use of thread‑safe collections.
• Eliminate redundant validations and duplicate code, promoting reusable utility methods and validators.

Required profile

• Seasoned professional with several years of experience in Java backend development.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities demonstrated through coding challenges (e.g., LeetCode).
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary advisory team.

Required skills

• Java 11 or higher
• Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA)
• Spring Boot
• Microservices architecture
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) – preferred
