Senior Associate – Institutional Non-Financial Risk

About the role

The Senior Associate – Institutional Non-Financial Risk supports the management of non‑financial risks across ANZ’s International Institutional business. Working closely with business leaders, risk partners and control functions, the role ensures risks are identified, assessed, managed and reported within the approved risk appetite.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to provide risk insights, challenge, and support effective decision‑making.
• Assist in applying and maturing the Non‑Financial Risk Framework across Markets, Transaction Banking, Corporate Finance and Coverage.
• Identify, assess, monitor and report material non‑financial risks, ensuring timely escalation of issues and control weaknesses.
• Support implementation of regulatory requirements and embed risk considerations into business change initiatives.
• Contribute to the delivery and adoption of the PACT program to uplift risk capability and governance.
• Build strong relationships across risk, compliance, and control functions.

Required profile

• Experience in risk management within an institutional banking environment.
• Strong analytical ability and commercial awareness.
• Proven capability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
• Understanding of regulatory expectations and risk governance practices.
