Senior Associate AI Engineer – Java Microservices Focus

About the role

PwC is looking for a Senior Associate AI Engineer to design, develop and deploy enterprise‑grade agentic AI solutions. The role blends advanced AI engineering with modern Java microservices practices, delivering secure, scalable, cloud‑native applications that turn raw data into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build agentic AI systems integrated with Java microservices using Spring Boot.
• Develop and deploy AI agents with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Bedrock Agents, AutoGen or CrewAI.
• Implement Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, prompt‑engineering techniques and evaluation frameworks.
• Create secure, scalable APIs and backend services on internal developer platforms.
• Apply OAuth 2.0, JWT‑based authentication and secure service‑to‑service communication.
• Collaborate with data and analytics engineering teams to ensure end‑to‑end solution governance.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in Java microservices and Spring Boot development.
• Hands‑on expertise with AI/ML agentic frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, Bedrock, AutoGen, CrewAI).
• Strong understanding of cloud‑native architecture, security standards and API design.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment and deliver production‑ready solutions.
