Senior Analyst, Collateral

About the role

As a Senior Analyst, Collateral you will work directly with the executive leadership of Altisource, a NASDAQ‑listed company, to develop and organise financial strategies for multiple lines of business within the US mortgage and real‑estate sector.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a working knowledge of US mortgage originations closing procedures, as well as federal and state lending laws.
• Interpret investor guidelines (FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, USDA) and apply them to specific loans.
• Review all property documents—including appraisal, purchase agreement, title and insurance—for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure the property is structurally sound and meets agency guidelines and client overlays, and assess the accuracy of appraisal reports.
• Examine title and insurance documents to confirm sufficient coverage and proper handling of encumbrances.
• Audit property documents from a salability standpoint on a daily basis, noting any exceptions.
• Assess risk, identify potential fraud and flag red‑flag indicators.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum one year of experience in core US residential mortgage underwriting.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage loan documents and related processes.
