Senior Accounts Payable Professional

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Professional to lead end‑to‑end payment processing, tax compliance and governance for domestic and statutory transactions. The role works closely with finance, treasury, logistics and tax teams to ensure accurate, timely payments and robust audit readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full cycle of domestic third‑party payments, statutory bookings and bank transfers.
• Support corporate tax, GST and withholding tax compliance, including computation, filing and audit assistance.
• Maintain and monitor outstanding balances, aging reports and payment status.
• Prepare and publish MIS reports on open items and compliance metrics.
• Execute SAP AP processes such as payment runs, postings, clearing and reconciliations.
• Draft, update and enforce SOPs for complex AP processes.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors, providing schedules, reconciliations and ensuring timely closure of observations.
• Coordinate with affiliates, business units, treasury and tax functions on AP and inter‑company topics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA (Finance) or equivalent preferred.
• 4‑6 years of experience in an Accounts Payable function, preferably in a multinational or shared‑services environment.
• Proven ability to build SOPs, strengthen governance and drive process improvements with junior team members.
• Strong analytical, documentation and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
• Experience working with internal and external auditors.
