Senior Accountant

About the role

KIAAYO, a designer wear brand with its own workshop and retail store in Ahmedabad, is looking for a Senior Accountant to lead its accounting function. This full‑time, on‑site position will support both the fashion and hospitality verticals, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Perform bank reconciliations, month‑end and year‑end closings, and prepare financial statements.
• File GST and TDS returns independently and ensure compliance with Indian tax regulations.
• Prepare MIS reports, monitor inventory and production costs, and support budgeting and cost‑control initiatives.
• Supervise junior accounting staff and coordinate with external auditors and consultants.
• Drive process improvements and implement internal controls to support business growth.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, apparel or retail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field; CA or CMA is a plus.
• Proven ability to file GST and TDS returns independently.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with leadership and external stakeholders.
