Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory requirements. This role supports audit processes and provides actionable insights to senior management for strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage general ledger entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and payroll processes.
• Support internal and external audits and prepare audit schedules.
• Monitor and improve internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on budgeting and forecasting.
• Mentor junior accountants and guide complex transactions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CA preferred).
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and corporate tax regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented, able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Leadership and mentoring capabilities, preferably in multinational or fast‑growing environments.
