Senior Accountant - Finance & Accounting

About the role

Maersk is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead core finance functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support strategic decision‑making. The role combines hands‑on accounting tasks with analytical responsibilities across accounts receivable, accounts payable, month‑end closing, and profit & loss reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor customer receivables, reconcile accounts, prepare aging reports and drive timely collections.
• Process vendor invoices, reconcile statements, maintain payable records and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Execute month‑end closing activities, guaranteeing accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Prepare monthly P&L statements, analyse revenue, expenses and margins, and provide commentary on business performance.
• Assist in annual budgeting and periodic forecasting, gathering assumptions from business functions and tracking actual performance against plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related field.
• 5‑7 years of experience in finance, accounting or FP&A roles.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and accounting principles.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and collaborate across functions.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial modeling).
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or NetSuite.
