Semantic AI/ML Engineer

About the role

DXC Luxoft is looking for a Senior Semantic Engineer in Noida to build and maintain semantic data frameworks that give enterprise data a shared structure. The role focuses on ontologies and knowledge graphs, data quality validation, and collaboration with AI teams to embed these structures in intelligent applications. It is industry-agnostic and centres on strong semantic web expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain ontologies (OWL/RDF or similar) that model key enterprise data domains, working with domain experts to capture real-world concepts.
• Build and manage enterprise knowledge graphs, configure graph databases or triple stores, populate them with RDF triples and optimise them for query performance and scalability.
• Create and optimise SPARQL queries and endpoints for advanced search and analytics.
• Implement semantic validation rules and consistency checks (SHACL, OWL constraints) and enforce data modelling conventions.
• Integrate the ontology and knowledge graph into data pipelines, APIs and databases with software engineers, data architects and IT teams.
• Partner with AI/ML teams and business analysts, and train or document the semantic framework for non-technical stakeholders.
• Work with AI agents and LLM teams so that chatbots and other AI systems can reason over the ontologies and use the knowledge graph for context-aware responses.
• Keep up with semantic web standards and help set internal guidelines for semantic data management.

Required profile

• Senior level; English at C1 Advanced.
• Hands-on experience building or maintaining knowledge graphs or linked data systems in an enterprise setting.
• Solid understanding of data modelling, data architecture and integrating heterogeneous data sources.
• Experience integrating semantic technologies into existing enterprise systems is a plus.

Required skills

• Ontology design and maintenance with OWL and RDF.
• SPARQL for querying graph data.
• At least one programming or scripting language such as Python or Java.
• Nice to have: Dublin Core, schema.org and other metadata standards; AI agent and LLM project experience; ontology and knowledge graph tools.
