Security Test Architect

About the role

Bosch Global Software Technologies is seeking a Security Test Architect to lead automotive cybersecurity validation for ECU and vehicle‑level platforms. You will design and execute test strategies that meet UN R155/156 standards, ensuring secure communication, boot, and OTA processes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement test architectures for system‑level validation (SIL/HIL/Vehicle) using dSPACE, Vector or ETAS platforms.
• Develop and automate cybersecurity test scenarios, including threat analysis, risk assessment (TARA), penetration testing, and secure boot/OTA verification.
• Validate communication protocols such as CAN, SOME/IP, DoIP, Ethernet, and TLS for authentication, encryption and integrity.
• Perform diagnostic security testing (UDS Security Access, Seed/Key) and ensure protection against unauthorized access.
• Collaborate with BSW, ASW and system teams to trace cybersecurity requirements from concept to test execution.
• Use tools like CANoe/CANalyzer, Wireshark, fuzzers and penetration frameworks to automate test coverage.
• Document compliance evidence, test reports and support OEM certification audits.

Required profile

• Strong experience with AUTOSAR BSW testing, MCAL, ECU abstraction and OS layers.
• Hands‑on knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, FlexRay, diagnostics).
• Deep understanding of ADAS sensor interfaces (camera, radar, ultrasonic) and HIL testing.
• Proven ability to lead security test initiatives and mentor technical teams.
