Security Specialist – Associate Vice President

About the role

We are seeking a Security Specialist at Associate Vice President level to act as a subject‑matter expert across our organisation. You will embed security considerations early in product design and ensure robust protection for both colleagues and customers throughout the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with feature teams during backlog refinement, sprint planning and retrospectives to integrate security controls.
• Champion a culture of innovation and strategic thinking, keeping the group informed of the latest security developments.
• Assess security impacts of new initiatives and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Drive cost‑effective security solutions and support initiatives that simplify and reduce organisational expenses.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal partners and third‑party vendors to align security decisions with commercial objectives.

Required profile

• Experience with, or willingness to learn, risk management frameworks and setting risk appetites.
• Background in defining risk policy controls and conducting benchmarking against industry standards.
• Strong ability to translate technical security issues into clear business language.
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies and working in iterative development environments.
