Screener – Airport Baggage Security

About the role

The Screener ensures safe and efficient screening of hold baggage at Adani Airports, complying with all regulatory standards and detecting prohibited items or security threats. You will operate advanced screening equipment, document findings, and interact with passengers and security staff to uphold the highest security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate X‑BIS equipment for image analysis to detect dangerous goods, prohibited articles, weapons, or ammunition.
• Perform physical inspections and ETD tests on baggage flagged during X‑ray screening.
• Maintain high Threat Image Projection (TIP) scores to demonstrate strong image interpretation capabilities.
• Follow BCAS and DGCA guidelines, recording all findings for audit compliance.
• Conduct routine pre‑operational checks of X‑BIS, ETD, CT‑EDS and other security equipment.
• Report equipment malfunctions and assist in maintaining operational registers.
• Collaborate with CISF and airline staff during inspections and provide timely updates to supervisors.
• Manage time efficiently to ensure smooth baggage screening flow.

Required profile

• Completion of all regulatory trainings and certifications as required by aviation security authorities.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and aviation security directives.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Effective communication with passengers, CISF, and airline personnel.

Required skills

• Operation of X‑BIS screening equipment.
• Image analysis and Threat Image Projection (TIP) interpretation.
• ETD (Explosive Trace Detection) testing.
• Knowledge of BCAS and DGCA aviation security guidelines.
• Pre‑operational equipment checks for X‑BIS, ETD, CT‑EDS.
