Assistant Security Executive - Aviation

About the role

The Assistant Security Executive – Aviation will oversee access control, property protection and security operations for both on‑shore and offshore aviation facilities. The role requires coordination of manpower, monitoring of traffic, and rapid response to security incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Control access for personnel, material, information and vehicles on shore and offshore, ensuring proper logging of vessels and material movements.
• Deploy and manage manpower for property protection at static security posts, offshore zones and anchorage areas.
• Secure information repositories, IT hardware and record rooms, and monitor traffic violations within the zone.
• Identify critical infrastructure (e.g., control rooms, berths) and implement appropriate security measures.
• Maintain situational awareness, respond to alarms from the Security Control Room and manage deviations from standard procedures.
• Conduct daily briefings for shift supervisors and validate system effectiveness through special checks.

Required profile

• Graduate or Army graduate with NCC “B” certificate (mandatory); additional qualifications such as LLB/LLM, VIP protection courses or NCC “C” are desirable.
• 10‑20 years of service in Armed Forces, Paramilitary or Police forces; 0‑3 years of security‑function experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of security automation usage and marine security concepts.

Required skills

• Strong site knowledge of topography, layout and team capabilities.
• Pro‑active problem solving and resourcefulness with security documentation and procedures.
• Experience operating GSOC/SOC consoles and security automation systems, with ability to detect and react to incidents.
• Understanding of marine security requirements and tolerance for offshore deployments.
