About the role
Charter Manufacturing is seeking a dedicated Laborer to work in its scrap metal yard. You will be responsible for sorting, separating, and cleaning scrap metal, as well as operating bailing and shearing equipment to support daily production.
Key responsibilities
- Sort, separate, and clean up scrap metal in the yard.
- Operate bailing and shearing machines for metal and cardboard processing.
- Weigh small scrap metal orders for customers.
- Maintain a safe work environment and contribute to a culture of safety, continuous improvement, teamwork, and trust.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to work well with other employees and follow instructions.
- Physical ability to stand constantly and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to meet physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Bailing machine operation.
- Shearing machine operation.
