School Bus Driver

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for students and support school‑related activities. The role focuses on ensuring every journey complies with safety standards while fostering a supportive environment for young learners. The driver will work closely with school staff to identify and address any safeguarding or health‑and‑safety concerns, ensuring a secure environment for all students.

Key responsibilities

• Transport students safely and on time to and from school and extracurricular events.
• Maintain strict compliance with all transportation safety regulations.
• Develop, implement, and update transportation policies and procedures.
• Monitor performance metrics and produce regular reports on service quality.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of school buses and related vehicles.
• Report any safety or safeguarding concerns promptly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of experience as a bus driver.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
• Demonstrated commitment to child safeguarding and health & safety.

Required skills

• Strong driving and safety‑management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Knowledge of transportation safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to identify and act on potential safeguarding issues.
