Sales Manager I

About the role

As a Sales Manager I you will own the acquisition and ongoing engagement of independent, single‑outlet restaurants within an assigned city. You will act as the primary point of contact, learning each partner’s business, diagnosing challenges, and helping them grow orders, visibility and customer engagement through Swiggy’s platform.

Key responsibilities

• Own a defined geographic territory and build strong relationships with restaurant partners.
• Conduct frequent in‑person visits, deliver product demos, ROI analysis and explain the mutual benefits of partnering with Swiggy.
• Use consultative selling to uncover needs around delivery logistics, marketing spend and business goals, positioning Swiggy’s solutions accordingly.
• Manage the full sales lifecycle each month – pitching, negotiation, activation and ongoing support.
• Track adoption metrics, identify growth blockers, troubleshoot issues and adjust strategies.
• Meet revenue targets, maintain a personal pipeline and monitor conversion rates.
• Maintain advanced Excel/Google‑Sheets trackers, build pivot tables, VLOOKUP formulas and dashboards.
• Stay updated on restaurant trends, competitive landscape and local market dynamics, feeding field insights back to product teams.

Required profile

• 0‑2 years of B2B, field sales or business development experience, preferably in FMCG, food & beverage or hospitality.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing an independent pipeline.
• Comfort with a round‑the‑clock restaurant environment and willingness to take ownership of partner growth.
• Post‑graduation degree, preferably in marketing or sales.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, dashboard creation).
• Google Sheets proficiency.
