About the role
The Sales Manager – PU for Footwear, Sports & Leisure will drive the implementation of BASF’s PU systems across India. Based in Delhi, you will lead market development, execute pricing strategies and grow relationships with existing and new customers.
Key responsibilities
- Implement PU systems for Footwear, Sports & Leisure and align sales activities with regional and country strategies.
- Develop and execute marketing and new‑business development plans, including pricing and product launch support.
- Identify, acquire and expand relationships with key customers, OEMs and channel partners.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, market intelligence and input for account plans.
- Collaborate with Global Key Account Management, technical service, supply chain, marketing and customer service teams to address quality, technical and application queries.
- Manage product and customer margins, negotiate trading terms and rebates, and monitor profitability.
- Lead market studies, competitor analysis and digital dashboard implementation for real‑time business insights.
Required profile
- Proven experience in sales development and customer relationship management within the Footwear, Sports or Leisure sectors.
- Strong ability to translate market trends into actionable sales and pricing strategies.
- Excellent collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams, including GKAMs and regional account managers.
- Track record of delivering accurate sales forecasts and contributing to account planning.
