About the role

Rail India Technical and Economic Service (RITES) Limited, a Central Public Sector Enterprise of the Ministry of Railways, has extended its Apprenticeship Programme for 2026-27. It offers a one-year structured training programme for Engineering graduates, Non-Engineering graduates, Diploma and ITI pass-out candidates across civil, electrical, mechanical, IT, finance, HR and other trades. Selection is based on marks obtained in the qualifying course; there is no written test or interview.

Required profile

• Graduate Engineering: BE, B.Tech or B.Arch (four-year full-time degree from a UGC/AICTE-recognised institute); or BA, BBA, B.Com, B.Sc or BCA (three-year graduation) for Finance and HR streams.
• Diploma: three-year full-time Engineering Diploma in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical/Metallurgical branches.
• ITI: full-time ITI pass-out from an NCVT or SCVT-recognised institute, with no restriction on the year of passing.
• Minimum age 18 years on the cut-off date; candidates awaiting results, currently undergoing apprenticeship or with one year or more of post-qualification training or job experience cannot apply.

What we offer

• Monthly stipend: Graduate Apprentices Rs. 15,650 (including DBT of Rs. 6,150), Diploma Apprentices Rs. 13,450 (including DBT of Rs. 5,450), Trade Apprentices Rs. 10,560.
• One-year training period, without extension.
• No application fee.

Applications are made online between 5 November 2026 and 25 November 2026 through the RITES apprenticeship portal, after registering on the NATS portal (degree/diploma) or NAPS portal (ITI). Documents are verified and a trade-wise merit list is compiled; shortlisted candidates are notified by e-mail and must join within the stipulated time.
