Mobilizer - Youth Enrollment and Outreach

About the role

LAQSH Job Skills Academy, a human capital development organization that partners with companies to train youth in sectors such as IT, retail, hospitality and banking, is hiring a full-time, on-site Mobilizer in Old Airport. The Mobilizer identifies, engages and enrolls youth into the academy's training and placement programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct outreach in local communities, schools and partner organisations to raise awareness of available courses and jobs.
• Counsel prospective learners and their families, explain programme benefits, eligibility and career paths, and help them complete registration.
• Coordinate with trainers, placement officers and local stakeholders so that batches are well filled and participants stay motivated and finish their courses.
• Maintain accurate records of outreach, leads, enrollments and outcomes, and give regular reports and feedback to management.

Required profile

• Graduation in any discipline; a background in social work, education or management is an advantage.
• Experience in field outreach, community mobilisation, student recruitment or similar roles in education, training or social development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to counsel youth and engage parents, community leaders and partners.
• Basic knowledge of local labour market trends and willingness to learn about IT, retail, hospitality and other sectors.
• Ability to plan and run outreach, manage leads and data, and report clearly and on time.
• Proficiency in local language(s) and working knowledge of English; on-site work and local travel as needed.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of MS Office, email and basic digital communication tools.
