Revenue Cycle Management Payment Posting Specialist

About the role

Join Qualifacts' Revenue Cycle Management team as a Payment Posting Specialist. You will ensure accurate posting of insurance and patient payments, support revenue cycle performance, and uphold HIPAA compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately post all insurance and patient payments by line item using medical claim billing software.
• Interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to reconcile payments, denials, and adjustments.
• Meet posting deadlines to ensure timely accounts receivable reconciliation.
• Attend monthly staff meetings and educational sessions to stay updated on industry best practices.
• Assist team members with queries and maintain data security and integrity.
• Develop policies and procedures for write‑offs and adjustments.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, commerce, arts or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management, focusing on payment posting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with medical claim billing software.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Understanding of insurance EOBs and payment reconciliation processes.
