Retail Salesperson – Fabric Store

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time, on‑site Salesperson to join our fabric retail store in Gorakhpur. You will be the first point of contact for customers, helping them discover the right textiles for apparel, home décor, or custom tailoring projects.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers, understand their fabric and design needs, and recommend suitable products.
• Explain product features, pricing, and care instructions while managing inquiries.
• Support customers through selection, measurement, and order processes, including billing coordination with the cash counter.
• Maintain attractive product displays, monitor stock levels, and ensure a clean, organized store environment.
• Collaborate with the store team to achieve sales targets and provide post‑sale support for long‑term relationships.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service and interpersonal skills with clear communication.
• Sales and negotiation experience, preferably in retail or textiles.
• Basic numeracy and billing accuracy for measurements, pricing, and cash or digital payments.
• Willingness to learn about different fabrics, their uses, and care instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks such as arranging stock and assisting with fittings.
• Organizational and time‑management skills to prioritize customer needs during busy periods.
• Minimum high school education; prior experience in fabric stores or fashion retail is an advantage.
• Reliability, professionalism, and a customer‑focused attitude in an on‑site, team‑oriented environment.
