Retail Accountant – Perfume Showrooms

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Retail Accountant to oversee end‑to‑end accounting activities for our perfume showrooms in Marine Lines, Mumbai. The role focuses on retail sales accounting, stock management, cash handling, and GST compliance within the fragrance retail sector.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain day‑to‑day accounting for showroom operations, including cash, card, UPI and online transactions.
• Handle sales accounting and reconcile daily, weekly and monthly cash, bank, card and POS statements.
• Manage stock accounting – inward, outward, transfers, valuation and reconciliation.
• Monitor inventory movement, coordinate with stores to resolve stock discrepancies.
• Prepare and maintain MIS reports on sales, stock, margins and expenses.
• Ensure GST compliance – filing returns, reconciliations and documentation.
• Coordinate with store managers and sales teams for accurate data reporting.
• Assist in month‑end and year‑end closing activities and provide audit support.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of accounting experience in retail or showroom sales, preferably in perfume, FMCG, fashion or luxury retail.
• Strong knowledge of stock and inventory accounting.
• Hands‑on experience with retail billing and POS systems.
• Good understanding of GST, TDS and basic statutory compliance.
• Detail‑oriented with strong follow‑up and control skills.
