Research Operations Analyst (Broker Vote Management)

About the role

The BA4 – Research Operations role supports Barclays' Research team by managing the end‑to‑end process for capturing, standardising and analysing broker vote data. You will work closely with research business managers and stakeholders across the Americas and Europe, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Own the centralised processing of broker votes, including data capture, standardisation and quality checks.
• Collaborate with sales and client strategy teams to provide insights on vote trends and client consumption.
• Maintain and enhance interactive dashboards and tools using Business Objects and MS Excel.
• Coordinate with global research stakeholders across regions and time zones, handling ad‑hoc requests and queries.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, risk‑management frameworks and internal Barclays policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree with 2‑4 years of experience in data‑intensive processes and reporting.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under time‑sensitive conditions and during UK business hours.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel (macros, lookups, functions, basic reporting).
• Proficiency with SAP Business Objects (report development preferred).
• Experience with data standardisation and broker vote processes.
• Familiarity with financial terminology and research environments is a plus.
