Registered Nurse – Aviation Medical Services (Bengaluru Airport)

About the role

The Medical Department of an airline at Bengaluru Airport is seeking a Registered Nurse to conduct DGCA‑mandated medical tests, provide clinical care to staff and passengers, and manage medical administration. You will work in a fast‑paced environment ensuring health and safety compliance for all airport personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct breath‑alcohol testing for cockpit crew, cabin crew and ground personnel as per DGCA requirements.
• Assist with random psycho‑active substance testing for airline staff.
• Attend to OPD patients, perform initial assessments and follow doctors’ orders.
• Provide first aid and respond to medical emergencies involving employees and passengers.
• Handle MEDIF passenger calls, gather medical information and relay it to the on‑duty doctor.
• Prepare and maintain First Aid Kits, Medical Kits, Universal Precaution Kits and AEDs.
• Arrange calibration and track movement of alcohol‑testing instruments.
• Download CCTV footage when required and maintain DGCA‑mandated documentation.
• Manage medical inventory and perform daily administrative tasks.
• Execute duties assigned by the Head of Medical Services.

Required profile

• GNM Diploma or BSc in Nursing (Registered Nurse).
• Valid, active registration with the Nursing Council of India.
• 1‑2 years of clinical care or aviation medical services experience (preferred).
