Quality Engineer – Pump Manufacturing

About the role

The Quality Engineer will ensure that pumps, components and related processes meet defined quality standards, customer requirements and industry norms. Working on‑site in Surendranagar, the role involves inspection, documentation, process control and continuous improvement in close collaboration with production, design and supply‑chain teams.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out incoming, in‑process and final inspection of pump components and assemblies, verifying dimensions, tolerances, surface finish and functional requirements.
• Support hydro‑testing, performance testing and pre‑dispatch inspection of finished pumps.
• Prepare and maintain inspection plans, ITPs, QAPs and checklists, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and internal quality systems.
• Document inspection results, generate non‑conformance reports and assist in internal, external and customer audits.
• Identify quality issues, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Monitor process capability, suggest improvements to reduce defects and rework.
• Assist in vendor quality evaluation, incoming material inspection and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers.
• Support customer complaints, technical clarifications and participate in customer inspections.

Required profile

• Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in quality inspection and control within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Ability to work 6 days a week on‑site in Surendranagar, Gujarat.
