Quality Engineer – Automation & AI

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Engineer with a focus on automation and AI to lead the design and implementation of test systems for DevRev’s AI‑native platform. The role combines hands‑on test framework development, AI‑assisted test generation, and continuous improvement of quality processes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and document automated test cases, leveraging LLMs to convert requirements and incidents into high‑quality tests.
• Build and maintain a scalable automation framework, integrating it with CI/CD pipelines for fast feedback.
• Apply AI to optimize test selection, prioritization, flakiness detection, and self‑healing capabilities.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to shift‑left testing and prevent defects early.
• Own the health of the automation suite, triaging failures and continuously improving testing strategies.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience building customer‑facing software products.
• Proven ability to create automation frameworks from scratch with CI/CD integration.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test planning and strategy.
• Experience using AI/LLMs to enhance testing processes.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one programming language for test automation.
• Git, GitHub and CircleCI for version control and CI/CD.
• Cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Ginkgo, Electron).
• Experience with AI/LLM integration for test generation and analysis.
