Quality Control Technician

About the role

Perceptyne is seeking a Mechanical Quality Control Technician to ensure that all mechanical components meet strict dimensional tolerances and engineering specifications. You will work on incoming, in‑process, and final inspections for precision‑manufactured parts used in robotics and industrial automation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of mechanical components, including incoming materials, machined parts, fabricated components, and assemblies.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings with GD&T to verify fits, tolerances, and specifications.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial gauges, bore gauges, feeler gauges, thread and plug gauges, and surface gauges.
• Inspect machining, welding, fabrication, grinding, and assembly operations.
• Assist in preparing Non‑Conformance Reports (NCR) and maintain inspection and traceability records.
• Support QC Engineers during customer, supplier, and third‑party inspections.
• Follow quality procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.
• Travel to vendor facilities for inspections, accounting for more than 50% of work time.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in precision or aerospace manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical measuring instruments and inspection methods.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.
• Good observation and defect‑identification skills.
• Basic proficiency with MS Office Excel and Word.
