Python Developer – Business Application Consulting (Specialist)

About the role

PwC is seeking an experienced Python Developer to join its Business Application Consulting team within the GCC Advisory practice in Bengaluru. The role focuses on designing, building and supporting backend solutions that help clients optimise operational efficiency and achieve strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse client requirements and translate them into scalable backend solutions.
• Design, develop and maintain micro‑services using Python, FastAPI and Flask.
• Containerise applications with Docker and orchestrate them on Kubernetes.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable delivery.
• Deliver solutions on cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP or AWS, including Azure Functions, Azure API Management and Azure AI Search.
• Build and expose REST APIs, streaming responses and WebSocket endpoints.
• Implement authentication, authorization, RBAC, rate‑limiting and caching mechanisms.
• Integrate vector databases and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques.

Required profile

• Minimum 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Python and backend development.
• Hands‑on experience with FastAPI or Flask, micro‑services architecture, and cloud environments.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD tooling.
• Experience delivering solutions on Azure, GCP or AWS.
