Public Relations Officer (College Communications)

About the role

The Public Relations Officer will be the voice of NET’s - Navodaya Institute of Technology, shaping its public image and supporting the admissions journey. You will create and share compelling stories about the college’s achievements, engage with media, students, parents and the wider community, and ensure every enquiry receives a professional and helpful response.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the institute’s public image through clear, consistent communication.
• Build and nurture relationships with media outlets and external contacts.
• Create and distribute content highlighting college achievements, events, seminars, workshops and festivals.
• Handle admissions‑related enquiries via phone, walk‑ins, email and social media, providing accurate information.
• Ensure timely, organized follow‑up on all enquiries and maintain an efficient tracking system.
• Coordinate with admissions and management teams for outreach and promotional activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Mass Communication, Marketing or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the education sector.
• Willingness to relocate to Raichur.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Comfortable interacting with students, parents and media representatives.
• Organised, proactive and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
