Public Relations Manager

About the role

KKBC Australia is looking for an experienced and strategic Public Relations Manager to lead the development, execution and performance measurement of its PR initiatives. The role shapes the organization's public image, enhances brand visibility and maintains a positive reputation across media platforms. It is a contingent, remote position based in India.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement PR strategies, annual and quarterly plans, budgets and campaign milestones, and identify emerging trends
• Plan and oversee PR campaigns, work with marketing, digital and content teams, and track KPIs to optimize results
• Build relationships with journalists, editors, influencers and thought leaders, pitch stories, handle press inquiries and organize press events, interviews and briefings
• Write press releases, speeches, articles, Q&As and other communications, and support thought leadership content for executives
• Develop a crisis communication strategy, act as advisor during crises and monitor public sentiment
• Set PR KPIs, report on campaign results and conduct research on trends, audience behaviour and competitors
• Collaborate with senior leadership and internal departments, and represent the PR function in cross-departmental meetings

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related field; Master's degree is a plus
• 5-7 years of progressive PR or communications experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role
• Proven success in planning, executing and evaluating PR campaigns
• Strong network of media contacts and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Own working space, fast internet and a PC or laptop with sufficient specifications
