Portfolio & Campaign Management Consultant

About the role

A global consulting firm is recruiting a Portfolio & Campaign Management Consultant for a 10-month, on-site engagement in Chennai, starting around November 30, 2026. The client is a leading global payments organisation strengthening its card portfolio performance, focusing on customer acquisition, activation, engagement and retention. The consultant works closely with client stakeholders to understand portfolio priorities, assess existing initiatives and identify opportunities to drive customer engagement and spending.

Key responsibilities

• Assess existing portfolio initiatives and stakeholder priorities to find ways to improve customer activation, engagement, retention and spend.
• Develop activation, engagement and retention frameworks, identifying target customer groups by product offering and segment.
• Design and drive marketing campaigns, including target list generation, communication strategy, channel mix and attribution.
• Monitor campaign effectiveness, set up performance tracking and run feedback loops with stakeholders.
• Optimise offer communication through targeted messaging and channel strategies, tracking results before, during and after execution.
• Manage client deliverables independently, lead stakeholder discussions and coordinate internal and external teams for timely, quality delivery.

Required profile

• 5-7 years of experience in marketing campaigns, portfolio management or credit/debit card campaign management.
• Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Marketing or a related field.
• Strong understanding of customer activation, engagement and retention strategies and the campaign lifecycle.
• Experience designing, executing and monitoring campaigns and optimising channels.
• Ability to manage client engagements alone and handle complex stakeholder dynamics.
