Public Relations Manager

About the role

Torque Communications, a 20‑year‑old agency, is seeking a proactive Public Relations Manager to lead client relationships, develop content strategies, and manage media relations for B2C brands across FinTech, e‑commerce, lifestyle and fashion sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage PR pipelines, timelines and execution of communications tasks.
• Strategize and implement crisis communication plans.
• Conduct research based on briefs to craft story lines.
• Edit and proofread content to match client tone and style.
• Source spokesperson responses for media pitches and queries.
• Coordinate and execute PR events.
• Build and nurture relationships with journalists and new‑media outlets.
• Collaborate with internal teams for consistent brand messaging.
• Propose innovative ideas for engaging content and PR activities.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in communications with strong writing, editing and crisis‑management skills.
• Experience handling B2C clients in lifestyle, fashion, e‑commerce or FinTech.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Proven ability to mentor and lead junior resources.
• Energetic, creative, and comfortable in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
• Quick learner who asks insightful questions and welcomes constructive feedback.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and independent as well as collaborative work capabilities.
