Project Manager, Research & Studies

About the role

SELCO Foundation, an open-source non-profit engaged in field-based R&D and ecosystem building for clean energy solutions, is hiring a Project Manager, Research & Studies. The role reports to the Program Manager, Research & Studies, requires about 5 years of experience and involves travel of 10-15 days per month. The ideal candidate combines a research background with the ability to turn complex insights into accessible content and to manage projects end to end.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution and monitoring of research and knowledge projects.
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants and external stakeholders to manage timelines and deliverables.
• Conduct secondary research and analysis on livelihoods, renewable energy, systems practice and sustainable development.
• Collect, organise and interpret research data to generate insights.
• Translate research findings into content for policymakers, practitioners and the general public.
• Develop reports, articles, presentations, case studies and digital content, including blogs, videos, infographics and interactive web content.
• Facilitate workshops, webinars and stakeholder conversations to share key findings.
• Ensure research outputs support SELCO's advocacy and communication goals.

Required profile

• Master's degree in social sciences, communications, journalism or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in research.
• Experience in literature reviews and synthesising research findings.
• Strong writing, editing and content creation skills across formats.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, detail-oriented and well organised.

Required skills

• Data analysis tools such as Excel or R.
• Data visualisation tools such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Tableau or similar.
• Secondary research, synthesis and storytelling skills.
