Production Technician – Locomotive

About the role

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Production Technician for locomotive manufacturing. The role focuses on executing daily production plans, ensuring quality, and supporting Indian Railway staff in achieving zero‑defect output while maintaining safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily loading plans aligned with production targets.
• Participate in standing meetings to track progress and plan weekly/monthly targets.
• Implement daily production activities, resolve challenges, and report metrics to the Production Manager.
• Ensure first‑time‑right production through quality control and timely mitigation of issues.
• Train and qualify Indian Railway staff on locomotive production processes.
• Supervise Indian Railways staff, organize workflow, and hand over assembled locomotives to testing teams on schedule.
• Maintain assembly flow, allocate job cards, and enforce EHS best practices.
• Monitor and improve processes, control variables, and equipment health.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in manufacturing or production environments.
• Ability to train and supervise staff, particularly Indian Railway personnel.
• Strong focus on quality, productivity, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Good communication skills for reporting and coordination.
