Production Manager – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

Sujo Plast is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead day‑to‑day manufacturing operations at its Sriperumbudur facility. You will oversee multiple production lines, ensure targets are met, and drive continuous improvement across all processes.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve daily and monthly production plans across injection moulding, CNC machining, assembly, and secondary operations.
• Monitor plan vs. actual performance, initiate recovery actions, and manage shift handovers.
• Allocate manpower, schedule machine loading, and optimise production sequencing.
• Track OEE, productivity, rejection rates, downtime and implement corrective measures.
• Lead supervisors and operators, fostering communication, delegation and accountability.
• Implement and sustain 5S, visual management, Lean, Kaizen and Kanban practices.
• Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Stores and Tool Room to ensure smooth material flow.
• Develop training programmes for operators and supervisors and enforce shop‑floor discipline.

Required profile

• 6–10 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 2–3 years in a production leadership role.
• Background in a multi‑process environment, preferably plastics or related engineering.
• Strong understanding of production planning, shop‑floor execution and OEE metrics.
• Experience with ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 standards is a plus.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving and team‑management abilities.
