Production Head – Battery Pack Manufacturing

About the role

The Production Head – Battery will lead the end‑to‑end manufacturing operations of electric‑vehicle battery packs at our Aurangabad plant. Reporting to the Plant Head, you will bridge strategic business objectives with shop‑floor execution, driving efficiency, safety and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the production team to achieve daily takt time and delivery targets.
• Oversee shop‑floor operations, optimizing manpower, machinery and material.
• Utilise KPIs, OEE and real‑time data for capacity planning and resource allocation.
• Own P&L for the production unit, managing OPEX and reducing waste.
• Supervise critical battery processes – cell sorting, spot welding, BMS installation and final testing – ensuring SOP compliance.
• Champion Industry 4.0 and MES integration to modernise the line.
• Drive Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and autonomous maintenance schedules.
• Implement robust quality gates, lead RCA investigations and apply Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, VSM).

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Production Engineering (M.Tech or MBA Operations a plus).
• 14+ years of manufacturing experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Hands‑on experience in EV battery‑pack assembly, EMS or automotive Tier‑1 manufacturing preferred.
