Product Manager-Tech

About the role

Barclays is hiring a Product Manager-Tech in its Product Development & Management business area, based in Gurugram, India. The role oversees the entire product lifecycle, from concept and release to ongoing performance, acting as the key interface between business and functional stakeholders. It is a permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and prioritise product and customer requirements, define product vision and ensure successful delivery.
• Define product strategy, manage capabilities and balance short-term and long-term goals.
• Lead cross-functional alignment with marketing, engineering, operations and sales teams.
• Own the product development lifecycle from concept to launch, working with product owners to drive change objectives.
• Oversee product risk management and maintain alignment between product management and control functions.
• Deliver product goals and KPIs, monitor performance with data and adjust strategy as needed.
• Drive a customer-first approach, using customer insights, feedback and journey health checks.
• Support campaigns, promotional offers and customer offer lifecycle activities, including monitoring, reporting and governance.

Required profile

• Intermediate level of Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong judgement on when to act versus when to align or escalate, especially where customer harm or regulatory risk may arise.
• Stakeholder management across UK and India teams, including journey owners, product managers, controls, technology, risk and partner teams.
• Experience creating and maintaining customer journey maps and business process documentation.

Required skills

• Mandatory: expert use of SAS, Python, SQL, HUE, Tableau, Figma, Visio and office tools.
• Strong analytical capability, interpreting reporting outputs and generating data-driven recommendations.
• Jira and Agile ways of working to manage requirements, backlogs and delivery.
• Management information, dashboards, governance packs and executive reporting.
• Desirable: Agentic AI, spec-driven development, rapid prototyping, unsecured lending and consumer credit card experience.
