Digital Asset Librarian (DAM/PIM, Metadata)

About the role

PWORLD is hiring two Digital Asset Librarians in Gurugram, India, to manage digital assets, keep metadata accurate and ensure taxonomy compliance. The role covers end-to-end asset lifecycle management, including cataloguing, quality control, version management and product-asset linking. The salary range is Rs 500,000 to Rs 800,000.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full DAM/PIM asset lifecycle, including cataloguing, tagging, uploading and publishing, with organized folder structures and naming conventions.
• Define metadata validation standards and run post-upload quality checks for missing fields, overwritten files and duplicates.
• Maintain product-to-asset links in PIM systems, resolving EAN and ASIN mismatches and discrepancies between delivered files and project briefs.
• Keep asset versions accurate and traceable, track defects across projects and escalate complex issues.
• Act as the main contact for asset upload status and governance queries, and interpret quality standards and brand guidelines.
• Mentor junior librarians, contribute to SOPs and workflow documentation, and support automation and AI-enabled DAM/PIM workflows.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in DAM, PIM, Digital Asset Librarian or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience uploading, cataloguing, tagging and publishing digital assets on DAM/PIM platforms.
• Experience with metadata validation, duplicate checks, version control and quality control.
• Good understanding of metadata standards, taxonomy, file naming conventions and product-asset linking.
• Excellent English communication skills and experience working with internal teams or global stakeholders.
