Product Localisation Lead – India

About the role

As the Product Localisation Lead for India, you will own Canva’s product and localisation strategy, driving user growth and delivering a seamless experience across the country’s many languages. You will shape the roadmap for India‑specific features, payment methods and authentication flows while ensuring cultural relevance.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the product and localisation strategy for India, focusing on user acquisition, activation and retention.
• Contribute to the India product roadmap, including market‑specific features, payment options and authentication flows.
• Analyse user and subscription funnels to uncover opportunities for improving activation, engagement and conversion.
• Adapt global messaging, campaigns and product experiences to resonate with Indian users across regions and languages.
• Manage cross‑functional localisation projects with Marketing, Content, SEO and Product teams.
• Lead relationships with external localisation partners, linguists and the in‑house Language Manager, developing style guides and tone‑of‑voice principles for the region.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in product, growth or localisation roles within a high‑growth SaaS or product‑led company.
• Deep understanding of India’s language ecosystem and how it influences user behaviour and product adoption.
• Strong grasp of content and UX copy, with the ability to adapt English messaging for Indian audiences.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and influence stakeholders across product, marketing, content and regional teams.
• Fluency in English and proficiency in at least one major Indian language; familiarity with multiple Indian languages is a plus.
