Product Introduction Field Engineer – New Delhi

About the role

Alstom is looking for a full‑time Product Introduction (PI) Field Engineer to join its New Delhi team. You will provide on‑site engineering leadership, supporting projects and the PI team in investigating, troubleshooting and resolving technical and quality issues throughout the product introduction, commissioning and warranty phases.

Key responsibilities

• Support all technical activities on Alstom products during the PI period, including commissioning, warranty, validation and certification when applicable.
• Diagnose malfunctions or failures of operational equipment and recommend preventive and corrective actions.
• Define and apply troubleshooting methodologies and guide technicians in repairs.
• Provide feedback on technical documentation and advise PI management on customer satisfaction and product performance.
• Drive 8‑D (Kx) issue resolution with Quality and internal/external suppliers.
• Ensure complete and quality input to the Failure Management database for RAMS exploitation.
• Promote reliability growth through failure investigation and reliability forecasting.
• Maintain Alstom product configuration control and manage related documentation.
• Support technical reviews with suppliers, partners, customers and authorities.

Required profile

• Field engineering leadership with the ability to assist project and PI teams.
• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams including quality, reliability, safety and installation.
• Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.

Required skills

• Failure analysis using 8‑D (Kx) methodology.
• Knowledge of RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety) principles.
• Experience with product configuration control and technical documentation management.
