Product Consultant – Merchant Lifecycle (Onboarding & Activation)

About the role

The Product Consultant will lead the design and improvement of Maya’s enterprise merchant onboarding process. You will work closely with engineering, risk, compliance, operations, and commercial teams to ensure a smooth, compliant, and scalable onboarding experience for high‑volume merchants.

Key responsibilities

• Own onboarding‑related provisioning, order management, and fulfillment flows for digital and physical payment products.
• Define and enhance processes for merchant setup, activation, and access enablement, including terminals, Checkouts, and soft‑POS.
• Identify friction points, manual steps, and gaps to streamline onboarding across merchant types.
• Support end‑to‑end product delivery from requirements and design through launch and iteration.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Risk, and Compliance to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide post‑onboarding support for product changes, upgrades, and issue resolution.
• Share onboarding insights and improvements with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of product management experience, preferably in FinTech, acquiring, or risk/compliance.
• Strong understanding of merchant onboarding, KYC/KYB, underwriting, and regulatory processes.
• Proven track record of launching scalable onboarding platforms for enterprise merchants.
• Data‑driven mindset with ability to translate insights into roadmap priorities.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting to stakeholders and leadership.
