Procurement Manager

About the role

Burckhardt Compression is looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to lead the sourcing and purchasing activities for assigned projects. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring timely delivery of materials while controlling costs and maintaining quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and manage the procurement process for assigned material commodities.
• Float enquiries, evaluate quotations, perform cost comparisons and negotiate with vendors.
• Raise Purchase Orders through the ERP system and follow‑up to ensure on‑time delivery and quality compliance.
• Control costs in line with budgets, manage inventory of slow‑moving items and coordinate with Q&A for material clearance.
• Evaluate vendor performance, maintain MIS records and adhere to QMS procedures.
• Develop and nurture strong relationships with suppliers and coordinate vendor planning.

Required profile

• BE (Mechanical) with 5‑7 years of experience or DME with 10‑12 years.
• Strong knowledge of Indian taxes, duties and vendor base.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills in English, Hindi and Marathi; German is a plus.
