Procurement Manager

About the role

Burckhardt Compression is looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to lead the sourcing and purchasing activities for assigned projects. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring the right materials are obtained at the best value while supporting the company’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and manage the end‑to‑end procurement process for designated material commodities.
• Float enquiries, evaluate quotations, perform cost comparisons and negotiate with suppliers.
• Raise Purchase Orders through the ERP system and follow up to guarantee timely delivery and quality compliance.
• Control costs in line with budgets and maintain inventory of slow‑moving items.
• Assess vendor performance together with QA, maintain MIS records and ensure adherence to QMS procedures.
• Develop and nurture strong relationships with vendors and coordinate planning activities.

Required profile

• BE in Mechanical Engineering with 5‑7 years of experience or DME with 10‑12 years.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, Hindi and Marathi; German is a plus.
• Good knowledge of Indian taxes, duties and vendor regulations.
• Ability to work independently and deliver value in terms of time and cost.
