Process Engineer (SCADA) – Site Based Role

About the role

The Process Engineer (SCADA) will ensure safe, efficient and optimized operation of water and wastewater treatment facilities at our Chennai site. You will focus on real‑time process monitoring, troubleshooting, and digital performance tracking to maintain water quality, reduce operating costs and meet regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and optimise water treatment systems (clarifiers, softeners, UF, RO, EDI, UV, mixed‑bed filters) and wastewater systems (equalisation, neutralisation, DAF, ASP, MBBR, MBR, SBR).
• Oversee sludge handling, ZLD, and ultra‑pure water (UPW) loops, ensuring operation within design and contractual limits.
• Analyse flow parameters and key water‑quality metrics (pH, turbidity, conductivity, TDS, hardness, TOC, COD, BOD, MLSS, DO, etc.) and initiate corrective actions.
• Track membrane performance (UF, RO, MBR, EDI) – pressure, flux, recovery, fouling trends – and recommend CIP schedules.
• Optimise chemical dosing, energy consumption of blowers, pumps and compressors, and improve process parameters such as sludge age and aeration.
• Validate laboratory data and support mass‑balance analysis for continuous improvement.
