Principal Enterprise Architect

About the role

Jumio is seeking a visionary Principal Enterprise Architect to lead AI adoption and cloud‑native system design for its global multi‑tenant SaaS platform. The role blends hands‑on architecture, developer advocacy, and strategic leadership to embed machine learning and GenAI across the product stack.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the technical vision for scalable, high‑performance, cost‑efficient multi‑tenant SaaS systems.
• Architect and optimise data pipelines, storage, and processing layers for batch and real‑time workloads.
• Lead cloud cost‑efficiency initiatives and collaborate with AWS Solution Architects to leverage advanced cloud capabilities.
• Drive GenAI integration, creating self‑service AI tools and guardrails for rapid experimentation.
• Chair the Architecture Review Council, enforce standards, and resolve complex architectural trade‑offs.

Required profile

• Strategic visionary who aligns long‑term business goals with robust technical roadmaps.
• Ultra‑technical leader with a hands‑on approach to building and optimising large‑scale systems.
• Cloud‑native expert with deep AWS experience and a focus on cost optimisation.
• Mentor who elevates engineering teams through architectural advocacy and coaching.

Required skills

• AWS (EKS, IAM, Lambda, networking) and GCP (nice‑to‑have).
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Docker.
• Strong programming in Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Kotlin.
• Design of microservices, event‑driven architectures, caching strategies, and distributed systems.
• Data engineering and AI/ML model execution optimisation.
