Principal Designer - BIM (Structures)

About the role

The Principal Designer assists the Associate/BIM Manager as a key project team member, collaborating with architects and engineers to develop and analyse the virtual construction process. The aim is to maximise construction and coordination efficiency, achieve cost savings and improve project documentation and delivery for AECOM’s infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Interact with project architects and engineers to create and optimise virtual construction models.
• Analyse construction workflows to enhance coordination efficiency and reduce job costs.
• Support the Associate/BIM Manager in delivering high‑quality project documentation.
• Lead BIM coordination activities across large‑scale infrastructure projects.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of experience using BIM60/Revit Structure in a lead coordinator or similar role.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of construction methods, processes, systems and terminology.
• Experience on infrastructure projects such as metros or airports.
• Diploma or equivalent education in an engineering discipline.
