Principal Business Analyst – Investment Technology

About the role

The Principal Business Analyst will work within Invesco's Risk Technology team, designing and supporting end‑to‑end solutions for equity, passive, solutions and fixed‑income asset classes. The role bridges business stakeholders, technology teams and external data vendors to deliver data pipelines, APIs and interactive dashboards that enable effective risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with global business partners across multiple asset classes to gather and analyse risk and investment data requirements.
• Lead full business analysis cycles, producing functional specifications, user stories and process documentation.
• Document detailed requirements as Jira user stories to support bi‑weekly Agile sprints.
• Partner with developers, data engineers and architects to design, build, test, deploy and maintain data pipelines, APIs and front‑end dashboards.
• Provide guidance on cloud‑based data architecture, ensuring best practices for data warehousing and scalability.
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS) and tools such as Snowflake, dbt and Airflow to implement solutions.

Required profile

• Strong techno‑functional expertise in investment data domains (IBOR, ABOR, PBOR, risk, analytics, performance, attribution).
• Experience delivering solutions for risk technology in a global investment environment.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into technical designs and guide development teams.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methods and stakeholder management.
