Power & Renewable Energy Data Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Data Analyst with a technical background in Electrical Engineering or Physics, combined with practical data analytics skills. The role focuses on analysing energy, operational and business datasets and delivering dashboards, MIS reports and actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse grid performance, outages, load demand and maintenance data.
• Analyse smart‑meter and electricity‑consumption datasets.
• Monitor solar generation and operational performance.
• Develop dashboards and KPI/MIS reports using Power BI, Tableau and Excel.
• Extract, prepare and analyse datasets using SQL.
• Identify operational trends, exceptions and performance gaps.
• Convert raw operational data into meaningful management insights.
• Support cross‑functional reporting for Operations and Finance.

Required profile

• Electrical Engineering or relevant Physics educational background.
• Hands‑on SQL experience for querying, joins, data extraction and analysis.
• Minimum 6 months of practical Data Analytics experience or demonstrable analytical projects.
• Hands‑on knowledge of Power BI, Tableau and/or Advanced Excel.
• Preferred experience in solar or renewable energy, electrical operations & maintenance, grid performance and load analysis, or smart‑meter analytics.
